Hobbies

I have a range of hobbies one of which being sports, basketball in particular when I was in secondary school our school's basketball team even went on to win the London Tournament which was our proudest achievement. Our rugby team also won the South London Tournament which was also a very fun experience.

The main reason I am interested in Law as a subject is because unlike a lot of other subjects law allows you to attain skills that are transferable onto many professions such as public speaking, persuasive language and fast decision making which I believe are all valuable skills employers seek and hope to find.

Future

Future in Law

My main goal for after I have finished my A-Levels in sixth form Is to hopefully study Law in University and hopefully become a criminal defense lawyer as it is a widely known profession that allows for those going through difficuly and complex times to recieve the help they need to make sure they are given the right justice.

If I do manage to earn this proffession then I will aim to help bring more representation and equality which is especially important as most legal proffesions in the UK consist of wealthy, English white which is why lots of people would see it as unrepresentative and I want to help fix that.

Current studies

At the moment I am currently studying at sixth form and the courses I am taking are English Language, Politics and Geography. The reason for me choosing English Language is because having a proffession in Law requires a good range of language and an understanding of how to effectively communicate with specified audiences.

I chose Geography as it gives insight onto global issues such as housing shortages, miration and water stress which will result in my international knowledge being broadened , and politics gives a more developed understanding of Law, while giving meup to date ideas about current issues.
